Need a break? Need to unwind? Need to get away from life's hustle and bustle? Then look no further. One of our privately owned modern fully equipped holiday chalets is just what you need.
The chalets are on California Sands Estate, which has plenty to offer but is also a quite relaxing site. Only five miles from Great Yarmouth and ten minutes walk from a lovely, golden, sandy beach that stretches as far as the eye can see. On site there is an indoor heated swimming pool, the Oasis clubhouse, the Sundowner club, play area, amusement centre, supermarket/gift shop, cycle hire, launderette, restaurant and fish and chip shop.
And much more nearby - there are leaflets in the chalets with tons of places to visit! The swimming pool and clubhouse are, of course, free of charge for the duration of your stay!
All our chalets are modern - double glazed and UPVC cladded - and fully equipped. We are very proud of our chalets and the work we have carried out on them to bring them to a high standard for our guests. For 2009 we shall be carrying out our own cleaning and key collection to enable us to offer a personal service. Bed linen and T-towels are also provided at no extra charge.
There is a patio area outside for sunbathing and relaxing whilst watching the world pass by. There are deckchairs and a windbreaker, to use outside the chalet or on the beach, the choice is yours. (There is also a cool bag for your picnics and ice blocks in the freezer).
Lounge/Diner
The lounge/diners contain two cosy, high back, arm chairs which are lovely to snuggle up in while watching a film (we don't provide the popcorn!), a double sofa-bed/futon, dining table and chairs, a full size remote controlled colour television to keep tabs on your soaps and footie scores, a video player and DVD player.
There is also a collection of videos and DVDs to occupy the children (and partners) - while you get ready for a day/night out.
For 2009 we have added 'freeview boxes' to give a few more extra channels. Or maybe you would prefer some soft music on the CD player and that long awaited chilled drink and soft lights?
There are games for the children - young and old!
All our chalets have two bedrooms but sleep six, using the double futon/sofa bed.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has a lovely comfy double bed, radio, hairdryer and alarm clock. There is a large fitted wardrobe with shelves and hanging space.
Second Bedroom
The second bedroom has twin single beds and a large fitted wardrobe with shelves and hanging space. We have also put in a box of colouring books with pencils and pens etc. plus a couple of indoor and outdoor games, for children young and old!
There are heaters in both bedrooms and the lounge/diner. All the bedrooms are carpeted. For easy cleaning we have chosen laminate flooring for the lounge/diner. Kitchens and bathrooms are either laminate flooring or tiled floors depending on the chalet.
Bathroom
The bathroom has the usual toilet, bath and hand basin (there is also an electric shower in every chalet). All bathrooms are tiled around the bath and sink area with varnished pine wood panelling around the toilet.
You can enjoy a relaxing atmosphere for those few stolen moments in the bath or take a shower - very refreshing after a day at the beach!
Kitchen
The kitchens are all modern and have fitted cupboards, electric hob and oven with an extractor fan - just in case you relax too much and burn dinner! There is a microwave, toaster, iron with ironing board, and of course a full size fridge with a small freezer compartment.
All utensils are provided. We also supply a new dishcloth and sponge that looks great in the hands of teenagers and men! (Don't forget we supply T-towels free of charge too.) An airer and pegs are also in every chalet along with a vacuum cleaner.
There is a smoke alarm in the lobby area and a fire blanket with fire extinguisher is situated in the kitchen. There is a first aid box under the kitchen sink.
If you need supplies there is a mini-market on site. If you prefer a larger supermarket there is a Tesco's store approximately two miles away at Caister.
Don't fancy cooking? The Oasis clubhouse also houses a restaurant called 'Big Fellas' which serves superb food. Then there's the on site café, which offers a good menu that's reasonably priced. Alternatively, there are many take aways in the area, fish and chips and Chinese. The local free house, 'California Tavern', near the beach, is very popular and serves a selection of food.

Before we purchased our holiday chalets we ourselves were holidaymakers in Great Yarmouth/Norfolk. We can honestly say we enjoyed every holiday (rain or shine) and so did our three children. Even now we do try to steal a few days when the chalets are quiet, just to take in the relaxing atmosphere.
We have worked very hard on our chalets and paid attention to small details to hopefully give you a very enjoyable stay.
During your stay you will have free use of the indoor heated swimming pool, which is great for adults and children.
As the sun dies down for the evening the nightlife begins in the Oasis clubhouse (FREE membership during your stay). The Oasis clubhouse has so much on offer; early evening cash bingo, different types of entertainment each night and fantastic food at affordable prices. And children are welcome.

Great Yarmouth is only 5 miles away - about 10 minutes drive. Or you can use the frequent bus service, just opposite the site reception.
Great Yarmouth/Norfolk has so much to offer whether you are 1 or a 101 you will be spoiled for choice. There is a whole host of leaflets in the chalets giving you what's on in the location. We can highly recommend a trip up the Norfolk Broads by boat; this is reasonably priced and so relaxing. Fancy something faster? Then there's the option of the pleasure beach in Great Yarmouth or Pleasure Hills, there really is something for everyone.

A non-returnable deposit of £40 per week is requested upon booking with the balance to be paid four weeks before commencement of your holiday.

The electricity is provided through a £1 coin meter - this charge is levied by the site owners (not by ourselves).
Travel cots available on request for an additional charge of £6 per week.
Dogs are welcome at an additional charge of £7 per week, per dog. For our four legged friends we provide feeding bowls, dog biscuit treats and nappy sacks for 'walkies'!
Please note: It is site ruling that dogs must be kept on a lead at times when not in the chalet and dog owners must clear up any dogs mess made by their dogs.
Parking on site is free.
We all deserve a break from the hustle and bustle of our busy modern day lives. Alas, we do not always have the funds at hand. So, for our guests, we offer a payment plan (at no extra cost) to guarantee that well deserved break. More information on this is available on request.
We cannot guarantee the opening times of any of the facilities offered on site.

Terms and Conditions
- To book your holiday please contact us by telephone, email or booking enquiry form to check availability of accommodation. A £40.00 non-returnable deposit is required (per week) and should reach us within seven days to retain reservation. The balance is due four weeks before commencement of your holiday. If the balance is not received by the due date this will be considered as a cancellation. We will use our best endeavours to re-let the chalet, but if we are unable to do so then you will be liable for the outstanding balance. Cheques to be made payable to B. Keenan and sent to the above address. Confirmation of your holiday will be sent upon receipt of your deposit.
- Chalets are available from 3pm (if you think you will be later than 5pm please advise us so that we can make alternative arrangements for key collection). The chalets must be vacated and left in a clean condition by 9 a.m. on day of departure. All bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise stated.
- Prices shown are non-negotiable. Travel cots are available for hire at £6.00 per week, per cot. Dogs are welcome at a charge of £7.00 per week per dog. Please note dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on site when not in the chalet and any fouling must be cleared up by the owners (nappy bags are available in the chalet for this use).
- The hirer will be held responsible for and must make good any damage to the chalet/and or loss or breakages of fixtures, fittings, crockery etc. Please note only named guests on completed booking form are permitted to stay in the chalet, unless Lazy Dayz Holidayz are notified before hand.
- We regret we will not accept any liability for any alterations to the advertised amenities or entertainment, which
are out of our control.
- The booking is made on the understanding that the chalet will be available on date stated, should the accommodation become unavailable through circumstances beyond our control such as fire, theft or damage, we will use our best endeavours to find a suitable alternative chalet, if we are unable to do so all monies paid shall be returned.
- Whilst every care is taken to ensure chalet and contents are in working order, you will have no claim against the owners for any defect whatsoever, although we will endeavour to rectify any defects as soon as possible.
- The owners will not be held responsible for any injury or death incurred inside or in the vicinity of the chalet or for any loss or damage of any personal effects or any theft or damage from any vehicles however caused.
- We regret to say we cannot accept bookings from all male/female groups. This is a site ruling.
